Title: Head of Marketing, Brand Partnerships (BP)                         

Reports to: SVP of Marketing

 

Job description:

The Head of Marketing, Brand Partnerships is responsible for leading and contributing to projects that drive growth with our retailers and other corporate verticals. The role will be responsible for the development and management of broad-based B2B marketing programs, implementation and results. S/He will develop marketing plans and quarterback marketing efforts across the organization including lead generation, digital development, strategic sponsorships/events, content creation, and sales collateral. This high-impact role will work across functions as well as interact with clients, partners, and senior leaders.

 

While the Head of Marketing, Brand Partnerships reports into the SVP of Marketing, this position is embedded within the business unit and works hand in hand with the GM, Brand Partnerships and her leadership team to achieve their goals.   This role has supervisory responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities: 

Collaborate with BP leadership to develop and execute our B2B annual marketing strategy (including database management) in order to support our customer acquisition/retention goals and the company’s business objectives. Collaboration with an array of cross-functional team members is essential to success. This position requires a candidate with a blend of strategy, technical, creative, analytic and project management expertise.

  • Accountable for B2B marketing strategy and all B2B marketing initiatives: provide short and long term marketing plans to both direct and support sales teams with B2B clients/verticals
  • Focus on acquiring and retaining new B2B clients through the management of all online and offline marketing programs that could include: marketing automation, lead generation, SEO/SEM, digital advertising, webinars, content creation/distribution, email, industry conferences/events, social media, lead generation/nurturing, channel marketing, website updates and analytics.
  • Hands-on database marketing experience with solutions like Hubspot or Salesforce to build, nurture, track and optimize the funnel.  Comfortable with robust segmentation and 1st/3rd party data.
  • Institute lifecycle marketing/pipeline management best practices and continuously monitor campaign activity; establish A/B tests, monitor results and make proactive course corrections to ensure that initiatives meet expectations
  • Develop a program to further our authoritative voice in this space and within key verticals and in partnership with the PR and Marketing team.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar for B2B and roadmap with major activities, milestones, etc. Write briefs that inspire the creative team to bring our brand to life in B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Manage multiple projects and campaigns at the same time, and ensure clear and proactive communication across teams and company
  • Maintain an intimate understanding of our clients and needs; develop the positioning within our verticals to ensure messaging is relevant and resonates.
  • Perform industry and competitive analysis to inform the sales process and support positioning and messaging

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications; MBA preferred but not required
  • 15+ years experience directly authoring and managing B2B integrated marketing programs
  • Intimate understanding with mid-marketing and small businesses with time spent acquiring prospects to use a software or join a program
  • Proven track record managing pipeline and demand generation, including managing campaigns from concept to ROI analysis
  • Be scrappy and self-directed – this is a hands-on role - you'll have to be the roll-up-your sleeves type and work autonomously
  • Understand data and use it as your guiding light. You'll be good at running a/b tests, digging through journeys, and optimizing them
  • Strong analytics and business acumen including experience reviewing performance results and making recommendations for future actions
  • Dynamic, motivating, and entrepreneurial-minded and team player with an internal drive to hit goals and deadlines. Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Proactive mentality with curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Must be very comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines
  • Experience with B2B CRM (Hubspot, Salesforce or similar solution), Google Analytics - you should be experienced with the standard marketing tools
  • Solid track record with B2B client acquisition, nurturing, and segmentation processes
  • Excellent communication skills – strong written and oral communication skills
