Head of Marketing, LIKEtoKNOW.it (LTK)                         

Reports to: SVP of Marketing

 

Job description:

The Head of Marketing for LIKEtoKNOW.it is responsible for delivering growth and scale in our consumer channels.  This role will be accountable for acquisition and retention goals as well as consumer performance metrics. Accountable for the development and execution of our annual consumer marketing plan, this role will collaboratively direct all consumer marketing programs across functions. This dynamic, high-impact role will Interact with consumers, partners, and senior leaders to grow the LIKEtoKNOW.it business.

 

While the Head of Marketing, LIKEtoKNOW.it reports into the SVP of Marketing, this position is embedded within the business unit and works hand in hand with the GM, LTK and her leadership team to achieve their goals.   This role has supervisory responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities: 

Collaborate with LTK and Marketing leadership to develop and execute our annual/quarterly marketing plans in order to support our customer acquisition/retention goals and the GM’s business objectives. Collaboration with an array of cross-functional team members is essential to success. This position requires a candidate with a blend of strategy, technical, creative, analytic and project management expertise.

  • Accountable for consumer marketing strategy and marketing initiatives: provide short and long term marketing plans to guide cross-functional teams and business as a whole
  • Focus on acquiring new and retaining existing consumers through the management of all online and offline marketing programs including:
    • Proven track record in performance marketing and SEO
    • Exposure utilizing automation, content creation/distribution, email, events, PR, social media, loyalty, channel marketing website updates, etc.
  • Own/contribute to ROI on consumer marketing for CAC, MAU, LTV, churn, etc. 
  • Develop an intimate understanding of our consumer and leveraging 1st and 3rd party data to inform and strengthen execution efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Institute lifecycle marketing, best practices and continuously monitor campaign activity, establish A/B tests, evaluate results and make proactive course corrections to ensure that initiatives meet expectations
  • Deliver to acquisition and retention goals, ensuring consumer marketing strategy provides scalable and predictable ROI. Utilizes a test and learn approach to scale marketing efforts and investments.
  • With GM, develop analytics methodology and consistent reporting for all consumer marketing efforts. Uses the data as a driver for making decisions and prioritizing investments
  • Develop contact strategy, content, and segmentation schemes
  • Understands the importance of creative and content, and the need to hold it accountable to meaningful analytics.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar for consumer and roadmap with major activities, milestones, etc.
  • Partner with SVP and President/Co-Founder on positioning to ensure messaging is relevant and resonates.
  • Mindful of global rollout and addressing localization needs for advancing adoption

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications; MBA preferred but not required
  • 12-15 years experience directly authoring and managing consumer marketing programs, preferably through digital and CRM/Database Marketing
  • Must have B2C/Consumer marketing, consumer app and high-growth company experience
  • Versed in consumer behavior and using 1st/3rd party data to drive performance. 
  • Rich understanding of data and use it as your guiding light. You'll be good at running a/b tests, developing journeys, and optimizing them
  • Strong analytics and business acumen leveraging results to make recommendations for future actions. Proven track record leading consumer acquisition, including utilizing performance marketing to scale
  • Dynamic, motivating, and entrepreneurial-minded and team player with an internal drive to hit goals and deadlines. Must be very comfortable with shifting opportunities and priorities.
  • Be scrappy and self-directed - you'll have to be the roll-up-your sleeves type and work autonomously. Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Drives innovation and backs decisions with data, analytics and testing mindset.
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills.
  • A “can-do” attitude, proactive, curious are absolute musts
